Our story began in 1950 when Thomas Ammeraal developed an endless woven bakery belt. That set a tone for the way we do business – we lead the way in innovative solutions and provide you with customized belts that fulfil the most specific needs of your business area.

What Does 75 Years Mean in Conveyor Belting?

Seventy-five years in conveyor belting represents our relentless pursuit of innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction. From our pioneering endless woven belts to our patented materials and techniques, we’ve consistently set new benchmarks in conveyor solutions. To us, sustainability equals constantly providing you with products that optimize energy usage, require less maintenance, and support the highest hygiene and cleanability requirements.

A Journey of Growth and Transformation

A lot can change in 75 years, and our story is no exception. In 1964, Ammeraal expanded beyond Dutch borders, establishing operations in Germany. More countries soon followed. In 1990, Ammeraal became part of Gamma Holding, which later acquired Verseidag AG and merged its belting subsidiary with Ammeraal to form Ammeraal Beltech. In 2008, Ammeraal Beltech acquired the Danish modular belting company uni-chains A/S.

In 2015, Advent International, a private equity firm, acquired Ammeraal Beltech.
Partners Group, also a private equity firm, acquired Ammeraal Beltech in 2018. This led to Ammeraal Beltech and Megadyne joining in December 2018 under single ownership and leadership to create a true global leader in belting: AMMEGA. This allowed us to bring together expertise and act as a new belting champion in power transmission and lightweight conveyor belting.
